This acetone-free, colour-free and fragrance-free formula is enriched with horsetail extract to strengthen nails, and fortified with vitamin E and aloe to soothe and protect cuticles. This totally odourless blend of alcohols works to remove our nail enamel as well as conventional polish. You'll never need to use conventional, stinky polish remover again!
"Methanol has some concerns. However:
1. We do not use methanol to make the polish remover odorless.
2. The polish remover was designed to remove our polish.
3. Our polish employs the use of water-based acrylics and soy-based polyurethane - the ONLY thing that will break down solidified acrylic & urethane resins is methyl alcohol.
4. Methanol is a very strong alcohol, so it works quickly, providing an experience for the user similiar to what they've come to expect from the solvent-acetone equation.
5. We use a bittering agent in our formula so that it cannot be consumed.
Additionally, the polish remover should have minimal contact with the user's skin. Nails, although porous, do not absorb toxins as readiliy as skin - especially something that is on it for a minute or two and is immediately washed off. Methanol is an irritant when it comes in contact with the eye. There is no data that supports methanol causing blindness as a result of skin absorption. Most of the concerns over methanol are occupationally related, meaning constant, long-term exposure.
If anyone decides to use acetone, they are in for a lot worse".
